Cardi B Defends Decision to Enter the Doll Business After Facing Backlash & Deleting Her Twitter Account
By Nobetternina (@nobetternina)
Fans on Twitter recently criticized Cardi B, after the âUpâ rapper released her first doll, causing her to delete her Twitter account.
Cardi released her first collectible doll in her likeness earlier this month, which fans criticized for having âstripper attireâ, while others wondered why she would get into the doll business when she has publicly expressed not wanting to be a role model for kids.
âCardi eventually took to her Instagram to defend her decision on entering the business, saying that the reason she followed through with the offer is because she has a daughter of her own. Cardi also spoke on the dolls clothing attire, saying that dolls nowadays come with way more fashion attire and diversity than they once did.
âThe dollâs unrealistic body portions were another topic of concern for fans, which Cardi didnât speak too much on, but finished off her explanation by saying that people will never stop having daughters and theyâll never stop buying dolls, so financially this was a smart move to her.
Cardiâs doll is an exclusive limited edition drop, that will only be available for 72 hours, so make sure you pre-order yours here!
