Joe is widely regarded by fans as being The Voice of the Toronto Maple Leafs’ - having called over 3000 Leafs’ games over his legendary 35+ year career. In June 2018, the Hockey Hall of Fame announced that Joe will be this year’s recipient of the Foster Hewitt Award for his contributions to the sport as a broadcaster.
