By NoBetterNina (@Nobetternina) It’s no secret that most artists make the majority of their money while on tour, and since the world is completely shut down right now, that’s not happening. OnlyFans is a controversial platform, that was created in London, England, due to it’s nature of allowing users to upload any kind of content, including R rated content, and charging viewers to access this content. At first, the app received a lot of attention due to its large use by sex workers, but within the past few months, the app has seen an influx of celebrities use it to promote exclusive content related to music, rumours and for some, even R rated content. OnlyFans recently released a list of their top 10 celebrity earners, and some of these earnings might have you reconsidering your day job. Artists like Cardi B took to OnlyFans to share exclusive content with her fans that she used to share on Instagram and Twitter for free. Instead, Cardi now charges users a low fee to access her OnlyFans, where she addresses rumours in the media about her, shares behind the scenes footage and hosts live q&a sessions. Cardi’s use of the app puts her at number 3 in the top 10 celebrity earners making $8 million a month. Coming in at number 2, right before Cardi B is former Disney star Bella Thorne, who uses the app to promote R rated content. When Bella first joined the app, she was under fire by sex workers, after she earned $1 million in one day. A few days later, the app adjusted it’s refund policy, delaying all creators earnings by a month, after many subscribers to Bella’s account claimed they were scammed into thinking her content was more explicit than it was. Currently, Bella makes $9 million per month on the app. At the top of the list of content creators on OnlyFans is former stripper, turned reality TV star, turned rapper Blac Chyna. Blac Chyna makes $17 million a month off the app, promoting pictures and videos of her feet with people who have foot fetishes, as well as R rated content. The rest of OnlyFans top 10 earning celebrities list includes rapper Tyga at number 4, adult film star Mia Khalifa at number 5, reality TV stars Erica Mena and husband Safaree Samuels at number 6 and 8 respectively, singer Pia Mia at number 7, influencer Megan Barton-Hanson at number 9 and rapper Casanova at number 10. They might have some new competition though, because Jordyn Woods just announced that she’ll be using the app too. |
