By Nobetternina (@nobetternina) Prior to his untimely passing, DMX completed an album that was set to drop this summer, a documentary with HBO, and was set to make a number of appearances, including one in Texas. X was scheduled to play at the Wildcatter Saloon in Katy, Texas on May 29th, and according to the venue’s owner Justin, the event will go ahead as a tribute show instead. The opening acts, Tone Royal and hip-hop/rock band Coozablack & Sin City will still be performing at the tribute show, but Justin says that they are still in need of an opening act. Justin is hoping to get someone who was close to DMX to make the show more personal for fans, such as Snoop Dogg, Busta Rhymes or Trae Tha Truth. DMX passed away on April 9th after being in a coma for a week, following a heart attack, that was triggered from a drug overdose. |
