By Nobetternina (@nobetternina) It looks like one third of the Migos, Offset, has recently discovered another talent of his after being confirmed as the star in his first movie. American Sole is a dramedy about the aftermarket sneaker industry, that’s being produced by comedian Kevin Hart. It follows two recent college graduates, played by Pete Davidson and O’Shea Jackson, who become involved in the sneaker resell market to pay off their student debts. But things go south pretty fast moneywise, and the two are forced to look into shady investors for help. Offset will be playing the role of a computer engineer, who is critical to the storyline, according to STXFilms Motion Picture Group Chairman Adam Fogelson. Offset’s musical talents also appear to be critical to the film, as he will be working alongside both the film’s director and a music executive to produce the soundtrack to the film. Fans can also potentially expect an original song by Takeoff, or the entire Migos group themselves on this soundtrack. When speaking on this new role, Offset said, “This is my first feature film as an actor. After doing There’s no word on a release date for American Sole yet, but it looks like Meek Mill has some competition now that he isn’t the only rapper to make his acting debut in a feature film this year. |
