Saul “Canelo” Alvarez and Terence Crawford faced off in the ring on Saturday night!
The two fighters went against each other at Allegiant Stadium on as the title fight in Las Vegas, which was streamed on Netflix.
After 12 rounds in the ring between the Super Middleweight champion and the undefeated four-division star, Crawford was crowned the winner!
Terence Crawford defeated Canelo Alvarez in a unanimous decision, clinching the Super Middleweight title and remaining undefeated.
Crawford not only won, but he also made history as the first fighter to ever become undisputed in three weight classes. His record is now 42-0, 3x undisputed!
“I told y’all, I’m not here just by coincidence,” Crawford said post-fight. “God blessed me. He made this event, and he made this night just for me. I’ve been telling y’all that.”
There was plenty of star power in the stands, including boxing Hall of Famers Mike Tyson, Evander Holyfield, Roy Jones Jr. Actors Mark Wahlberg, Sofia Vergara, Michael J. Fox, and Charlize Theron. Comedians Dave Chappelle and Tracy Morgan, and ESPN personality Stephen A. Smith were among the fans.
