Cardi B isn’t sugarcoating her experiences with fake friendships in the industry. During a candid conversation with Kelly Rowland for Spotify, the Bronx rapper opened up about how her attempts to encourage rising female artists have sometimes backfired in the worst way.
@thejasminebrandCardi B recently opened up to Kelly Rowland about the downside of being too supportive in the industry. In a candid conversation, the “Bongos” rapper shared how she once slid into female artists’ DMs to uplift and encourage them — only for some to betray her trust. “You gotta know who you being nice to,” she cautioned Kelly. The Grammy winner didn’t name names but made it clear she’s become more cautious about who she lets into her circle. Who do you think betrayed Cardi in this way? 🎥 Spotify
When I see a new little b***h coming up and people be dragging them, I be sliding in their DMs,” Cardi shared. “I be like, ‘Hey, you know this temporary.’” But her kindness hasn’t always been met with gratitude.
@theinfospot In a recent interview with Kelly Rowland, Cardi B spoke on going through depression due to her separation from her estranged husband Offset: “I couldn’t record. I couldn’t stop crying. Everytime I see a mic, I started crying, crying, and crying. My feelings and my heart really cripples me…I’ve been hurt, disappointed and disrepected, but when it was finishing like last year, it was for months. I feel like I was withdrawing love. I can’t eat, I can’t sleep, I can’t think, I can’t work. I can’t even look at my kids’ faces because I just want to cry when looking at them. I can’t go out, I don’t want to see daylight. I don’t want to see nothing. I just couldn’t. When you know your done, I don’t know what it is, you just know you’re done in you. It just dies in you, but when it dies it’s very painful. You can’t go back no more. It’s just dead.” Cardi also spoke on songs from her upcoming album that were the hardest for her to record because of the emotional chokehold it caused her, saying “My three relationship songs it makes me really emotional. Which is ‘Man of Your Word, and ‘Shower Tears,’ recalling lyrics: “How you texting b**ches from my bed all these shower tears I’ve done shed.” I cried a lot. I cried I cried.” Even this song called ‘What’s Going On?’ it’s like the other day I heard it and I almost started tearing because it’s like, ‘B**tch I really want to punch your f**king throat in.” #cardi #cardib #divorce #separation #estranged #offset #kellyrowland #fyp #fypシ #fypシ゚viral #xyzbca #explore #explorepage ♬ original sound – theinfospot
“I’ve done that to b***hes that done went and f**ked my man,” she continued. “You gotta know who you being nice to…you out here feeling sympathy for them and wishing them the best, and these b***hes want to be you and f**k your n***a.”
