Martin Bally, a vice president at Campbell’s, allegedly went on a one-hour rant claiming the company’s soup was “s**t for f***ing poor people.”
@erika_erickson “We have sh*t for f**king poor people,” and the company’s products contain “chicken that came from a 3-D printer” are just some of the comments. Former Campbell’s employee says he was fired after complaining about those comments, along with an alleged racist rant by his supervisor. The audio recording is over an hour long. Robert Garza, a former Campbell’s employee, recorded Bally’s tirade after having an instinct that something was wrong with him during a salary discussion.
Bally allegedly criticized the quality of Campbell’s products. He said, “I don’t buy Campbell’s products barely anymore. It’s not healthy now that I know what the f—‘s in it. Bioengineered meat — I don’t wanna eat a piece of chicken that came from a 3-D printer.”
Garza has filed a lawsuit accusing Campbell’s of racist remarks, drug use at work, and retaliation after he reported the incidents.
Campbell’s defended its products, stating that the comments on the recording are inaccurate and absurd, and that Bally is temporarily on leave pending an investigation.
