The TTC, GO Transit and UP Express are all gonna be free starting at 7pm tonight (Dec 31) until 8am tomorrow morning (Jan 1)

The last train from Union Station will leave at 2:31 a.m. towards Finch Station, the last train to Vaughan Metropolitan Centre Station will depart at 2:27 a.m. the last train from Finch to Union Station will depart at 2:00 a.m., the last from Vaughan Metropolitan Centre Station will leave at 1:50 a.m.
Metrolinx said in their statement that “riders are encouraged to continue tapping on and off with their PRESTO card, but they will not be charged.”
Along with the free service, Metrolinx says they will run late and even into the next morning on lines coming out of Union Station:
- Lakeshore West’s last train will leave at 7:47 a.m.
- Lakeshore East’s last train is scheduled to leave at 7:20 a.m.
- The Kitchener Line’s last train is set to leave at 6:34 a.m.
- On the Stoufville Line, the last train will depart at 4:00 a.m.
- The Barrie Line’s last train leaves at 3:54 a.m.
- Richmond Hill’s last train is scheduled to leave at 1:15 a.m.
- Milton Line’s last train is set to leave at 2:55 a.m.
- The UP express will have trains departing Union Station every 30 minutes, beginning at 1:30 a.m. and ending at 3:45 a.m.
The TTC says it will run “later than usual, however, the last trains on each line mostly depart before 3 a.m.,” with night busses running until 8 a.m. the next day.
On Line 2, the last eastbound train from Kipling will leave at 2:15 a.m., the last eastbound train from Bloor-Yonge Station will depart at 2:40 a.m. Westbound from Kennedy, the last train will leave at 2:18 a.m., while Bloor-Yonge’s last westbound train is scheduled for 2:39 a.m.
Line 4 will see the last eastbound train leaving Sheppard-Yonge Station at 2:57 a.m., while Don Mills Station’s last westbound train will leave at 3:09 a.m.
On Line 6, the last eastbound ride will leave from Humber College Station at 9:49 p.m., the last westbound will leave Finch West Station at the same time. Shuttle bus service will run from 10 p.m. to 2:30 a.m., with 336 Finch West running from 2:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m.
