J. Cole has officially secured his seventh consecutive number-one album on the Billboard 200 with his latest release, The Fall-Off.

The highly anticipated project debuted with 280,000 equivalent album units, marking one of the biggest hip-hop openings of the 2020s.

This release is a massive double album featuring 24 tracks, which Cole has stated was intended to be his final studio project.

In a statement to fans, the rapper reflected on his journey, saying, “The Fall-Off brings the concept of my first project full circle… Older and a little closer to peace.”

The album’s success was fueled by a unique “organic” rollout that included essays, trailers, and Cole personally selling CDs from the trunk of a car.

By reaching the top spot, J. Cole continues an unbroken streak where every one of his solo studio albums has debuted at number one on the Billboard charts.
