Nia Long and Larenz Tate just wrapped filming on Don’t Ever Wonder, and fans are already buzzing.

The film pulls inspiration from Maxwell’s Urban Hang Suite and dives into love, relationships, raising kids, and that whole empty‑nester chapter nobody really talks about.

The cast is stacked, but seeing Nia and Larenz together again?

That’s the part hitting the 90s babies right in the nostalgia. If you know, you know — this is a reunion we’ve been waiting on since the era of classic Black love stories, and they’re about to give us another one with a stacked cast!

Directed by Eugene Ashe, best known for Sylvie’s Love, the project is co-written by Ashe and Kay Oyegun (This Is Us). The film is produced by James Lopez, Charles D. King, and Poppy Hanks for MACRO Film Studios, with Maxwell, John D. Hammond, Long, and Tate serving as executive producers.

The film also stars:

  • Blair Underwood
  • Laz Alonso
  • Susan Kelechi Watson
  • Pauletta Washington
  • Dennis Haysbert
  • Chanté Adams
  • Algee Smith
  • Grasie Mercedes
  • Navia Robinson
  • Yolonda Ross
