Jada Pinkett Smith Returns As Lena James For A Different World Revival

Jada Pinkett Smith has confirmed her return as Lena James in the upcoming Netflix revival of A Different World.

Smith shared the news via an Instagram post.

Lena James was a significant character in the original series, which aired from 1991 to 1993, known for her confident personality and storylines centered on her job at “The Pit” and her relationship with basketball player Dorian Heywood.

Pinkett Smith’s return contributes to the connection between the original show and the reboot, which will center around Deborah Wayne, the youngest daughter of iconic characters Dwayne Wayne and Whitley Gilbert-Wayne.

The reboot features several returning cast members from the original series, including Kadeem Hardison, Jasmine Guy, Darryl M. Bell, Cree Summer, and Charnele Brown.
