A rumored fight between Justin Bieber and Usher at an Oscars afterparty is taking over the internet. Insiders call the physical drama completely fake.

TMZ initially reported a physical clash at the party hosted by Beyoncé and Jay-Z. Sources close to Bieber quickly cleared the air. They confirmed a total lack of physical contact. They did call the conversation “intense.”

Da Brat said she spoke to Usher. On her radio show, she said, “I spoke to Usher, and he said, ‘This is an exaggeration of the conversation. He’s been nothing but supportive of plenty of issues that Justin Bieber has had throughout the years.”

Da Brat added, “Justin is on his own journey, dealing with his own reality that he’s created. Usher wishes him nothing but the best, and they have no hostility towards each other.”

Usher famously signed Bieber in 2008. He served as a long-time mentor to the young pop star.
