Last week during Save Your Tears on Mexico, The Weeknd told the crowd “One more leg and I’ll disappear. Only just one year and I’ll disappear.”

This was not a surprise to anyone paying attention. In January 2025, Abel Tesfaye told Variety directly: “It’s a headspace I’ve gotta get into that I just don’t have any more desire for. You have a persona, but then you have the competition of it all. It becomes this rat race: more accolades, more success, more shows, more albums, more awards and more No. 1s. It never ends until you end it.” The Weeknd as a name, as a persona, as a character is ending. Abel Tesfaye will still make music. But The Weeknd will not exist after this tour.
The After Hours Til Dawn Tour has already grossed over $1 billion across 153 shows, making it one of the highest-grossing tours in history. The final leg runs through Europe this summer before ending on September 6, 2026 in Lisbon, Portugal. After that there are no more shows. No reunion tour. No farewell tour part two. He said so himself.
And this tour is almost over. If you have ever wanted to see him live, the window is closing.
