Leading up to the awards, Druski created a social media promo featuring notable figures like John Legend, Jamie Foxx, Martin Lawrence, and Cardi B, adding a comedic twist to traditional invite methods.
The promo included Druski arriving at Legend’s house with a gospel choir, a humorous take that aligns with Legend’s polished musical persona.

He showcased his comedic style by arriving at Foxx’s house on a horse, referencing Foxx’s Oscar-winning role in “Django Unchained.”
Druski visited Cardi B’s home with a mariachi band, which played on stereotypes regarding Latino identity, despite Cardi’s clear vocalization of her Dominican and Trinidadian heritage.
His visit to Martin Lawrence’s house featured sparklers and signage, symbolizing a ‘passing of the torch’ from Lawrence, an icon in Black comedy, to Druski.
Druski’s rise contrasts with traditional Hollywood pathways, having built his audience through relatable and humorous sketches that reflect the Black experience and cultural dynamics.
The 2026 BET Awards are poised to reflect Druski’s unique, vibrant style when they air live on June 28 from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.
