50 Cent is officially turning his $124 million Shreveport entertainment hub from a dream into a reality.

The entrepreneur packed the Shreveport Convention Center earlier this week to address growing doubts about the long-awaited G-Unit Studios project.

Cutting through years of uncertainty, he told the hungry crowd, “The biggest takeaway from today, we want y’all to understand it’s happening.”

The massive development plan expects to create 6,000 local jobs and deliver an estimated $18.8 billion in economic impact to the region.

50 Cent has already purchased more than twenty downtown properties and just announced a major new technology partnership with Samsung to elevate production quality.

He also highlighted the urgent need for more local businesses to support the growing area, joking that he might have to open a “50 Cent store.”

Construction fences are already up downtown, and the superstar confirmed that actual film and television production will officially begin later this year.
