Conor McGregor’s Comeback Cut Short by Injury at UFC 329

Conor McGregor’s highly anticipated return to UFC at International Fight Week ended abruptly when he suffered a knee injury just 69 seconds into his fight against Max Holloway, rendering him unable to continue.

UFC President Dana White indicated that doctors suspected McGregor may have torn his ACL, and the fight was stopped by referee Mike Beltran after McGregor struggled to regain his footing.

Following McGregor’s injury, various personalities, including Machine Gun Kelly and Jake Paul, reacted with mockery, though Paul later took a more sympathetic tone, offering prayers for McGregor and his family.

Holloway has expressed interest in a trilogy fight with McGregor once he has recovered from his injury, hinting at a possible matchup in 2027.

Despite the setbacks, McGregor has promised to return to the cage, declaring that the fight is not over for him and emphasizing his determination to overcome this challenge.
