A Las Vegas jury has found 63-year-old Duane “Keffe D” Davis guilty of orchestrating the 1996 murder of Tupac Shakur.

After just 3 hours of deliberation, Davis was convicted of murder with a deadly weapon and gang enhancements, meaning he now faces up to life in prison.

Prosecutors said Davis organized the infamous drive-by shooting and actually handed the murder weapon to the gunman in the backseat of his car.

Pointing to Davis’s own public statements and memoir, prosecutor Binu Palal noted he spent 18 years admitting his involvement and urged the jury, saying, “Tell him you hear him — find him guilty.”

Defense attorney Michael Sanft argued the stories were not real evidence, saying, “Why are we here 30 years later if Duane Davis had actually confessed?”

Despite the defense’s efforts, the jury agreed with the prosecution, bringing a historic conviction nearly 3 decades after Shakur’s death.
