Druski Once Again Opens Up On The Impact Drake Had On His Career

In a new appearance on the The Diary of a CEO podcast with host Steven Bartlett, comedian Druski opened up about how a surprise call from Drake to star in the 2020 “Laugh Now Cry Later” music video completely changed the trajectory of his career.

Before the video, Druski was a viral internet personality, but starring alongside Drake and massive stars like Kevin Durant and Odell Beckham Jr. gave him a global platform and mainstream credibility.

He explained that prior to the cameo, most corporate opportunities only involved companies offering free merchandise, event invites, or unpaid appearances. After the video dropped, major brands began taking him seriously as an actual star, and lucrative paid partnerships started rolling in.

Expressing immense gratitude, Druski stated he “could never repay” Drake for taking a chance on him. This interview aligns with separate comments he made in a recent GQ cover story, where he defended his loyalty to Drake during high-profile rap feuds, emphasizing that their bond is personal and rooted in real friendship.
