CBS Cancels Queen Latifah’s The Equalizer After Five Seasons

CBS has officially canceled Queen Latifah’s The Equalizer.
The news came two days before Sunday night’s season finale.
Latifah responded to the news on Instagram. She wrote, “The Equalizer blew past every dream we had for it, and having the opportunity to do this for five seasons honestly feels surreal.
She added, “Y’all have been so loyal, so loud and so ride-or-die — and that’s exactly why we keep doing this. We can’t thank you enough. It means the world to us.”
Latifah promised fans that she’s working on a new project and would “be back kicking a** in something new real soon.”
The Equalizer joins FBI: International, FBI: Most Wanted, and Poppa’s House as other programs CBS didn’t renew for the fall.

Hailing from Toronto, DJ MelBoogie is one of Canada’s most renowned female DJs, with a career spanning over 30 years. Known for her contributions to community and music organizations, she made history as the DJ for the 2023 JUNO Awards’ tribute to 50 years of hip-hop, sharing the stage with Canadian icons like Kardinal Offishall, Michie Mee, and Choclair in a performance watched by 2.2 million viewers nationwide.
