Burna Boy said Toni Braxton receives 60% of the streaming royalties from his hit single “Last Last.”
He revealed the financial details during a recent appearance on the podcast “Million Dollaz Worth of Game.”
The popular song heavily samples Braxton’s 2000 hit “He Wasn’t Man Enough.”
Burna Boy credited Chopstix for helping him turn his long-standing idea to sample the track into a reality.
Many music fans were surprised by the massive percentage, but Burna Boy clarified the 60% cut only applies to streaming royalties and not his overall earnings.
He said the large royalty share is completely normal for the music industry and noted that “Last Last” is still his most lucrative song to date.
