Coco Jones performed the Black National Anthem, “Lift Every Voice and Sing,” at the opening night ceremony of Super Bowl 60, which kicked off after a weekend of star-studded football events.
Her makeup artist, Diana Shin, aimed for a “classic nude glam” look, inspired by the natural beauty of ‘90s icons like Halle Berry and Nia Long.
The makeup focused on enhancing Jones’ deep complexion with a flawless skin finish, using Benefit Cosmetics Matte Primer and foundation, along with bronzer for warmth.
Eye makeup was emphasized through soft smoky browns, cat-eye effects, and fluffy lashes, utilizing I-ENVY’s Mink Impact Everyday 06 lashes, priced under $12.

Sharp winged liner and nude eyeshadow further accentuated the cat-eye look, as Shin expressed gratitude for her collaboration with Jones over the years.
The overall aesthetic was completed with sporty black hair pulled back by a white headband and classic French tip nails, channeling Whitney Houston’s iconic 1991 Super Bowl look.
The makeup choices and performance were highlighted as part of a broader recognition of Black History Month, celebrating culture and heritage.
Shin shared her feelings about the collaboration with Jones, noting the trust and inspiration that has developed throughout their working relationship.
