Gary Oldman says the highly anticipated search for the next James Bond is finally over.

In a new interview, Oldman backed his “Slow Horses” co-star Jack Lowden to take over the iconic 007 role.

Oldman said studio executives have already made their choice, but they simply have not announced it to the public yet.

He admitted he is keeping his fingers crossed for Lowden to officially get the part.

Lowden has been heavily rumored to be on the shortlist of candidates to replace Daniel Craig.

It remains unclear if Oldman actually knows Lowden won the role, or if he is just confirming that a top-secret decision has been finalized behind closed doors.
