Mahershala Ali is just as confused as fans about why Marvel cannot get his “Blade” movie reboot off the ground.

Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige recently said he felt like a “gigantic loser and failure” for mishandling the project.

In a new interview, Ali said he completely agrees with that assessment.

Ali pointed out that the studio had a 2-time Oscar winner under contract and billions of dollars at their disposal, saying the ongoing delay is a question for Feige to answer.

Ali said, “To this day, I don’t know why it didn’t happen,” adding that he agrees it is the biggest failure of Feige’s career.

Marvel originally announced the film in July 2019, but the project has since lost 2 directors and gone through at least 5 writers without ever starting production.
