Mary J. Blige has extended her development partnership with Lifetime for three new original films.
The first movie is Be Happy, directed by Gabourey Sidibe.
“Be Happy” stars Tisha Campbell, Mekhi Phifer, and Russell Hornsby, and follows the story of 50-year-old Val, a devoted wife and stay-at-home mom seeking to reignite the spark in her marriage after her child heads to college.
“Be Happy” is set to debut on Lifetime on February 7 as part of the “Love of a Lifetime” movie slate.
Mary J. Blige has previously worked with Lifetime on films like “Real Love”, “Family Affair”, and “Strength of a Woman”, as well as serving as an executive producer on “The Clark Sisters: The First Ladies of Gospel”.
