The Queens Community Advisory Board unanimously voted to make the project happen.
Final approval needs to come from the Gaming Facility Location Board.
Ironically, Jay-Z’s proposal for a casino deal in Times Square was rejected last week. Queens borough president Donovan Richards said, “There’s a theme in Queens, and I know that Nas was a part of this: Queens get the money. Sorry, Jay-Z, we win again.”
