- NBA superstar Stephen Curry is taking on his first major acting role in GOAT, a basketball-themed animated feature from Sony Pictures Animation.
- The voice cast also features Stranger Things star Caleb McLaughlin, Gabrielle Union, Nick Kroll, Bridgerton’s Nicola Coughlan, David Harbour, Jenifer Lewis, and Patton Oswalt.
- The action-comedy set in an all-animal world, follows Will (voiced by Caleb), a little goat with big dreams who gets a once-in-a-lifetime shot to join the pros and play roarball – a high-intensity, co-ed, full-contact sport dominated by the fastest, fiercest animals in the world.
- Curry and Erick Peyton of Unanimous Media will produce the feature.
- “We’re excited to bring together an all-star cast to voice the incredible characters in Goat,” said Peyton and Curry. “Goat is the kind of story we love to tell at Unanimous— full of heart, humor, and high-octane action that we hope audiences of all ages will cheer for.”
- The star-studded voice cast was announced out of the Annecy International Animated Film Festival on Monday, June 9, where Sony screened exclusive footage of GOAT for the first time.
- The film will be released in collaboration with the NBA on February 13, 2026, to tie in with NBA All-Star Weekend in Los Angeles.
