Our story starts with a poetic monologue by Braulio (Luis Bryan Mesa) to his albino twin brother Cándido (Ariel Diaz).

Veil is a short film, showcased at the 15th Caribbean Tales Film Festival (CTFF) 2020. During the “Reel Black Canada”. Written and directed by Zahra Golafshani, Veil tells a relatable story of the struggles of just wanting to ‘fit in’.

By Kassandra Sharma Kia Moses’ short film Flight, originally released in 2018, featured on the second night of Caribbean Tales Film Festival (CTFF) 2020. With the theme of the night “Truth to Power”, all films featured seem to all have an underlying call to action message surrounding the notion of dreams verses realities that people are dealing with in different parts of the world. By extension also displaying that people can relate and identify with different struggles even while worlds apart.

Recently CTFF 2020 audiences experienced the viewing pleasure of the pilot episode of The Agency. Directed by Rick Elgood and written by Paul O Beale, the episode was charged with charming characters, sly villains and a powerhouse female lead which made the drama and cliff-hanger all the more delicious to consume.
