OutKast is celebrating the 30th anniversary of their iconic album ATLiens by launching official youth soccer jerseys in collaboration with MUNDIAL and nonprofit Soccer in the Streets.

Big Boi personally distributed the limited-edition jerseys at a scrimmage in East Point, Atlanta, emphasizing community connection and support for young athletes.

A portion of the proceeds from worldwide jersey sales will benefit Soccer in the Streets, which provides free soccer programs for underserved youth in the Atlanta area.

The jersey design is inspired by the ATLiens album’s visual elements, featuring a large collar, “A” taping down the sides, and a glow-in-the-dark sponsor logo, reflecting the album’s afrofuturistic theme.

Kaseem Ladipo, executive director of Soccer in the Streets, highlighted the personal and powerful significance of the collaboration, illustrating the connection between OutKast’s legacy and the community.

The impact of ATLiens on Southern hip-hop since its release on August 27, 1996, is noted; it not only changed perceptions of Southern music but also opened doors for new voices in the genre.

The partnership underscores a commitment to community investment, showcasing OutKast’s dedication to the legacy of their music and its influence on future generations.

The jerseys will be worn by youth teams throughout their season, symbolizing the continued relevance of the ATLiens spirit in supporting and inspiring young athletes.
