Raptors Unveil A “GROAT” Logo For Toronto Legend Kyle Lowry And Announce Date For Jersey Retirement Ceremony

The Toronto Raptors are honouring the Greatest Raptor Of All Time with his own signature logo and court during his retirement season. This creative treatment is in line with Toronto’s league trending treatment and expression of love for past players.

And fans can celebrate with three special games at Scotiabank Arena, ending in Lowry’s post-game jersey retirement ceremony.

No. 7 will be raised to the rafters at Scotiabank Arena in a post-game ceremony on Sunday January 10, when the Raptors host the Philadelphia 76ers.

Lowry will become the second player in franchise history to have his number retired, joining Vince Carter, whose No. 15 was retired on November 2, 2024.

To mark the announcement of Lowry’s retirement ceremony, Lowry and the Raptors will give one lucky fan the opportunity to experience this milestone week and win a pair of tickets to all three GROAT Nights.

In 2025, they revealed a similar logo that captured Vince Carter’s iconic through the legs dunk during the 2000 NBA Dunk Contest where he put Toronto on the map.

This treatment for Kyle Lowry captures his floor leadership and the command he had as he marched Toronto to its first NBA Championship. This season, Kyle Lowry decided to retire his career with the team that made him a 6 x All-Star, champion and 1st in steals and assists for the franchise.
