Ray J and Kim Kardashian Signed A Confidentiality Agreement About The Sex Tape

Kim Kardashian and Ray J signed a secret “Confidential Settlement Agreement and Mutual General Release” in 2023 regarding their infamous 2007 sex tape, aimed at resolving ongoing legal disputes and ensuring confidentiality.

The agreement involved Ray J reportedly receiving $6 million to keep silent about the tape and related issues. The agreement was sealed with signatures from both their mothers.

The settlement included a strict non-disparagement clause, preventing either party from making negative comments about the other’s reputation.

Despite the settlement, Ray J filed a countersuit in 2025, claiming that Kim and Kris violated the agreement by discussing the tape in their Hulu series, “The Kardashians.”

Kardashian and Jenner have denied any wrongdoing regarding the release of the tape and refuted Ray J’s accusations.
