Rock climber Alex Honnold successfully scaled the 1,667-foot Taipei 101 skyscraper without any ropes or protective equipment.

Honnold completed the climb in approximately 91 minutes, while being cheered by thousands of onlookers.

The climb took place on Sunday, after a 24-hour delay due to rainy weather.

The stunt was broadcast live on Netflix with a 10-second delay for safety considerations.

Honnold described the view from the top as incredible and noted the cheering crowd made the experience festive, despite initial nerves about the public attention.

Taipei 101, once the tallest building in the world from 2004 to 2010, features 101 floors with a unique middle section known as the “bamboo boxes,” which posed significant climbing challenges due to their steep overhangs.
