• Judge Arun Subramanian denied Sean “Diddy” Combs’ request to be released on bail until his sentencing. On Wednesday, after Sean “Diddy” Combs was found guilty on two of five federal charges, the mogul’s attorneys asked for their client to be released on a $1 million bond. Judge Subramanian said, “Even if the defendant was solely required to show that he is not a danger to the community, he could not meet that burden. Prior to trial, the court denied bail, and sees no reason to reverse that now. The defense conceded the defendant’s violence.”
  • He added, “His violence is depicted in the video of Cassie Ventura. The defense admitted, This is a terrible moment, domestic violence is the issues, is what she said. It wasn’t only that. There was the London Hotel incident.”

  • Subramanian set a sentencing date for October 3rd. Diddy’s team requested that the sentencing be expedited.

  • Cassie is speaking out after the Diddy verdict. She testified for days in the sex trafficking trial of ex Sean “Diddy” Combs, whom she accused of mental and physical abuse for years in their on-again, off-again relationship. The defense ultimately won three acquittals on Wednesday (July 2), with the jury saying Diddy was only guilty of the Mann Act transportation of his former girlfriends, Cassie and “Jane.” He was ultimately found not guilty of running a criminal enterprise and counts of sex trafficking.
  • Cassie’s legal team then released a full statement, via Us Weekly: “This entire criminal process started when our client Cassie Ventura had the courage to file her civil complaint in November 2023. Although the jury did not find Combs guilty of sex trafficking Cassie beyond a reasonable doubt, she paved the way for a jury to find him guilty of transportation to engage in prostitution.” The statement continued: “By coming forward with her experience, Cassie has left an indelible mark on both the entertainment industry and the fight for justice. We must repeat — with no reservation — that we believe and support our client who showed exemplary courage throughout this trial. She displayed unquestionable strength and brought attention to the realities of powerful men in our orbit and the misconduct that has persisted for decades without repercussion.”

  • Cassie’s legal team noted that this case “proved that change is long overdue, and we will continue to fight on behalf of survivors.”
