The Soul Train Awards Are Coming Back!

The Soul Train Awards are officially returning to television this fall and heading back to the city where the iconic franchise first started.

BET announced the revival is set for November 27 in Chicago, honoring the legacy of Don Cornelius who created the original show there in 1971.

For the very first time, the taped ceremony will air on CBS as part of a massive simulcast across BET, VH1, MTV2, and LOGO.

The beloved award show was temporarily paused in 2025 due to declining television ratings and overall profitability.

At the time, network executives said the show was not canceled, but rather being reimagined for a modern digital landscape.

Organizers plan to introduce a bold new format for this upcoming broadcast, blending deep nostalgia by connecting legendary R&B artists with today’s contemporary performers.

Official details regarding the hosts, live performers, and specific honorees will be announced at a later date.

Now, VIBE105 FM is where he has chosen to leave his indelible mark. DJ O likes to display contrasting balance to hip-hop with the Nice & Slow slow jam mix show most nights of the week.
