The dinner took place at Cartier’s La Residence, featuring luxury dishes like abalone pasta and wagyu beef tenderloin, and included a signed menu from The Weeknd thanking the couple for the evening.

Carina Lau shared photos from the dinner on Instagram, expressing her enjoyment of the weekend spent with The Weeknd.

The Weeknd also posted pictures from the gathering, setting the mood with Faye Wong’s classic song “Dream Lover,” which is associated with Leung’s film “Chungking Express.”

Fans were excited about the music choice, considering The Weeknd’s prior admiration for Tony Leung’s cinematic aesthetics as a source of inspiration for his own work.

The Weeknd is scheduled to perform at the Kai Tak Stadium later this month as part of his “After Hours Til Dawn” concert series.
