The Weeknd Says He’s No Longer Interested in Retiring

The Weeknd is putting months of retirement speculation to rest, telling fans on his current tour that he will be here forever.

During a recent concert, Abel Tesfaye addressed the crowd and said, “I’ll never disappear. I love this too much to ever disappear.”

He told the audience that he tested retirement a little bit, but did not like the way it felt.

These comments mark a major shift after more than 2 years of public discussions about finally bringing his current era to a close.

The announcement comes as his After Hours Til Dawn Stadium Tour continues to dominate venues across Europe before heading to Asia later this year.

The massive global trek launched in 2022 and recently surpassed $1 billion in ticket sales, making it the highest-grossing tour by a male solo artist.
