Google just dropped its list of the top trending Halloween costumes for 2026, and horror movie villains are dominating the search results.
Taking the number 1 spot is Buddy the Unicorn, the murderous mascot from the horror film “Buddy.”
The number 2 costume is NeeDoh, a squishy sensory toy that doctors said is causing severe injuries after an online trend encouraged kids to microwave it.
Nikki from the massive blockbuster “Obsession” takes the number 3 spot, while Agamemnon from “The Odyssey” comes in at number 4.
Dolly Parton is officially the top costume choice for children this year, and she ranks number 2 for pets, sitting just behind centipedes.
Surveys show fewer than a quarter of Americans actually plan to dress up this year, but Gen Z and millennials are 10% more likely to participate than other generations.
