Toronto Slang Is Officially on Duolingo — And “Crodie” Is About to Go Global

Toronto slang is getting the international treatment because it’s officially being featured by Duolingo!

The app recently shared a hilarious Instagram post breaking down some of Toronto’s most recognizable slang, with questions like “What does crodie mean?”, “What is a Gerber?” and “What does cheesed mean?”

The post has Toronto people debating whether these are actually words that need translating or just part of everyday conversation.
