Toronto’s Hit Comedy Show “Yalla At Me” Returns With Special Show And Proceeds Going To Jamaican Hurricane Relief Fund

For over two years, Yalla Comedy has packed out venues across the city creating a community, with purpose, donating 100% of net proceeds to local charities, causes like Parkdale Food Bank, Rainbow Railroad, GoFundMe campaigns helping refugees and more. They’re proud to say they’ve raised thousands of dollars and increased awareness for these causes.

On November 19, they’re bringing a brand-new edition:

There will also be a very fun dating game in the middle. The show is hosted by Marwan Mouneimne (me), Comedian based in Toronto.

She has co-hosted the live-streamed podcast Gringo Latino Talks, written blogs for popular Canadian Latin brand Barrio at TorontoLatino.com, and assisted Friday Ricky Dread on the WeLoveHipHop Network.

DJ Mel Boogie

Hailing from Toronto, DJ MelBoogie is one of Canada’s most renowned female DJs, with a career spanning over 30 years. Known for her contributions to community and music organizations, she made history as the DJ for the 2023 JUNO Awards’ tribute to 50 years of hip-hop, sharing the stage with Canadian icons like Kardinal Offishall, Michie Mee, and Choclair in a performance watched by 2.2 million viewers nationwide.

As chair of the JUNO Rap Advisory Board, MelBoogie has worked to amplify women’s voices in the industry. She also co-founded the Black Music Brunch with Maestro Fresh Wes, an annual event celebrating contributors to Black music in Canada.
