Tyler Perry Revives Why Did I Get Married Again?

Tyler Perry’s “Why Did I Get Married Again?” is set to premiere on Netflix on September 9th, marking the third film in the franchise.

The film brings back most of the original cast members, including Perry, Jill Scott, Tasha Smith, and Richard T. Jones, as well as Taraji P. Henson, who joins the ensemble.

The franchise began in 2007 with “Why Did I Get Married,” which explores the complexities of relationships through the lens of four married couples on a retreat, and was followed by a sequel in 2010, “Why Did I Get Married Too.”

The original film was a commercial success, grossing over $55 million worldwide, significantly exceeding its $15 million budget.
