Grammy-winning producer Sidney “Omen” Brown has passed away at 49.
Omen’s body was found by a relative on September 13th in his Harlem apartment after he did not show up to work at a regular DJ gig.
The cause of Omen’s death is pending autopsy results.
Omen won a Grammy for producing Ludacris’ “Tell It Like It Is” from the album, Release Therapy.
Brown went on to work with Drake, 38, co-producing the rapper’s song “Shut It Down” on his 2010 debut album Thank Me Later.
He’s also credited for co-writing and co-producing Beyoncé’s song “Mine” featuring Drake from her 2013 self-titled album.
