The season 2 trailer was released by Apple TV, with the premiere set for January 14, 2026, and episodes to roll out weekly until March 4.
Hijack season 1 involved a plane hijacking, while season 2 focuses on the train hijacking, maintaining core elements and characters.

Returning cast members in season 2 include Christine Adams, Max Beesley, and Archie Panjabi, with new additions such as Toby Jones, Clare-Hope Ashitey, and Lisa Vicari.
Elba has indicated his consideration of retiring from acting to focus on directing, promoting his new short film Dust To Dreams.

The trailer for season 2 suggests a plot that ties back to events from the first season, maintaining continuity and building on the foundation set by the initial installment.
