The throne used during Michael Jackson’s “Slave To The Rhythm” performance at the 2014 Billboard Music Awards will be auctioned again after failing to sell in 2024, with a projected value of $50,000–$250,000.

The live online auction is set for July 19th at 9:00 AM PT, hosted by LiveAuctioneers.

The throne measures 7.5 feet tall, 5 feet wide, and 3 feet deep, made primarily of solid wood, and features Jackson’s MJ logo and lightning bolts crafted from high-density foam, weighing about 50 pounds.

This iconic prop was part of a performance that utilized advanced digital projection technology, often described as a “hologram,” which drew significant international attention and mixed reactions from fans.

Kings Auctions has developed a closer relationship with the Jackson family, recently sponsoring charity events, including the forthcoming King of Popcorn event on August 29th.
