Janet Jackson will receive the Icon Award at the upcoming American Music Awards in Las Vegas.

Jackson will also perform on broadcast television for the first time since 2018.
Conveniently, Jackson is already set up for success because she’ll already be in Vegas performing her residency the same week as the AMAs.
The American Music Awards will air on CBS on May 26th, at 8:00 pm ET.

Hailing from Toronto, DJ MelBoogie is one of Canada’s most renowned female DJs, with a career spanning over 30 years. Known for her contributions to community and music organizations, she made history as the DJ for the 2023 JUNO Awards’ tribute to 50 years of hip-hop, sharing the stage with Canadian icons like Kardinal Offishall, Michie Mee, and Choclair in a performance watched by 2.2 million viewers nationwide.
