Coco Gauff won the Women’s French Open Tennis championship on Saturday.
It was a showdown for the ages as Gauff, the number two-ranked women’s tennis player, had to go through the world’s number one player, Aryna Sabalenka, to get the title.
After securing a three-set win, Gauff became the first American to win the French Open since Serena Williams did it in 2015.
The French Open is Gauff’s second Grand Slam title. The 21-year-old won the U.S. Open in 2023.
