Anderson .Paak is set to make his directorial debut with K-Pops!
The film follows BJ, a washed-up American musician played by .Paak, who reinvents his career by joining a K-Pop competition show, only to discover that his estranged son is one of the contestants.
The inspiration for the film stemmed from .Paak’s personal experiences during the COVID lockdown, sparked by his son’s interest in YouTube and K-Pop.
The cast includes Jee Young Han, Jonnie “Dumbfounded” Park, Yvette Nicole Brown, and .Paak’s real-life son, Soul Rasheed.
The film will debut on February 27th exclusively at AMC theaters.
