Caught on Camera – Man Survives Lightning Strike

A Staten Island man is recovering after a lightning bolt struck his foot the moment he walked out his front door.

Thomas Fahmy was heading to a dentist appointment when the strike happened, and his home doorbell camera captured the entire incident on video.

Describing the terrifying impact, Fahmy said, “Once the lightning bolt struck me, the initial sensations that I had throughout my whole body were like completely unprecedented, tingling, numbness, pain, just I feel this burning sensation.”

He spent the night in the hospital for observation but miraculously escaped without a single burn.

Relieved by his clean bill of health, Fahmy said, “I had multiple body exams, no burns at all. I went on church Sunday to say thank you God.”

Hoping to cash in on his shocking streak of luck, Fahmy also bought a Mega Millions lottery ticket on Saturday.
