Daniel Kaluuya is reuniting with director Shaka King for the action-crime thriller “The Parlay,” set to be produced by Amazon MGM Studios and HyperObject Industries.
Teyana Taylor is in talks to star in the film, following her recent success with an Oscar nomination and a Golden Globe win for her role in “One Battle After Another.”
The script for “The Parlay” is an original work by Zack Akers and Skip Bronkie, who are collaborating with King to revise it, although specific plot details remain undisclosed.

This project marks another collaboration between Kaluuya and King, who previously worked together on the critically acclaimed “Judas and the Black Messiah,” which garnered six Academy Award nominations and won two Oscars.
Taylor’s involvement in “The Parlay” adds to her growing filmography that includes recent and upcoming roles in various projects, highlighting her transition from music to a serious acting career.
Kaluuya currently has a busy schedule with numerous projects underway, including a Chris Rock-directed film, a live-action Barney adaptation, and co-writing work for Sony Pictures Animation’s Spider-Punk film.
The anticipation for “The Parlay” is high due to the proven chemistry between Kaluuya and King, promising a compelling narrative and strong performances.
