The Top 5 most-streamed artists on Apple Music also includes rappers Future, YoungBoy Never Broke Again, and Bad Bunny, reflecting a strong presence of hip-hop in popular music.
Taylor Swift, Bad Bunny, and Drake also dominated Spotify’s “Most Streamed Artists of All Time” list, indicating their widespread appeal across streaming services.
The next five spots on Apple Music’s Top 20 list feature artists including Morgan Wallen, Lil Baby, The Weeknd, Kanye West, and Post Malone, further emphasizing the dominance of hip-hop.
Drake has also achieved notable success in terms of his albums, holding the top three most-streamed albums globally on Apple Music during its early years with “Views,” “More Life,” and “Scorpion.”
Billie Eilish’s debut album interrupted Drake’s streak as the most-streamed album for the year with “When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?”
Morgan Wallen’s albums “Dangerous: The Double Album,” “One Thing At A Time,” and “I’m The Problem” have also made significant impacts on the chart, with Wallen matching Drake’s three-year streak.
Taylor Swift’s relationship with Apple Music is historically significant; she originally opposed the platform’s payment policy for artists, leading to a policy reversal that allowed her album “1989” to be available on the service.
