Hurricane Melissa will slowly move across Jamaica today.

The storm could be the worst hurricane the country has ever seen.

As of late Monday, Melissa was a Category 5 hurricane with winds up to 175 miles per hour.

Parts of Jamaica can expect up to 40 inches of rain and 13 feet of storm surge.

Three people in Jamaica died in preparation for the storm. Melissa has already killed three people in Haiti and one in the Dominican Republic.

The storm will continue to move across Southeastern Cuba on Tuesday night.
